Orbitmine is an incremental space mining game where you orbit planets and drill through layers of blocks to reach the core.

Mine Planets to the Core

Fire your laser to destroy blocks as you orbit. Break through seasonal zones — Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter — each guarded by unique hazards and a powerful core.

Upgrade Your Ship

Unlock a deep upgrade tree to boost your laser power, expand your barrier, and gain new abilities like Mega Laser, Shockwave, Drones, and Overdrive.

Survive Seasonal Threats

Each zone brings a different challenge: regenerating blocks in Spring, overheating in Summer, wind gusts in Autumn, and freezing cold in Winter. The final core cycles through all four.

Incremental Progression

Every sortie makes you stronger. Mine, upgrade, and push deeper into the planet with each run.

This demo includes the Spring zone. The full game features all four seasonal zones with unique hazards and bosses.

Looks like a cool game. Can't wait for the full release. It seems way too many games on Itch.io get demos but never come out. Hope this doesn't end up like one of those.

Also, i noticed that ImCade managed to buy the chain lightning ability. Did you give him an early release version? Cause i can't seem to get it. It says "prerequisite needed" but i have everything except that and launch direction. Am i missing something?

Hi, like the game very much. What engine/programming language did you use ?

The running into a block, destroying your ship and getting nothing definitely takes the fun out of the game. Also unlike a lot of games in the category, running out of time returns no results. I think there needs to be some balance with that. There's too many ways to lose an entire run so easily. A accidental twitch of a wrist on a mouse is enough to lose everything for the run

Thanks for the feedback! Since the demo only covers the early game, there aren't many safety nets available yet so it can feel pretty punishing. In the full version, survival-related upgrades unlock as you progress, giving you a lot more room to breathe. I should've set the demo range a bit better for that though:( Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
